What timber do you use?

We Only Use Prime Timber - GUARANTEED

Don't take the risk of sub standard timber being used in your home - possibly the biggest investment of your life. We only ever use the best quality timber, graded MSG8 or higher in our pre-nail frames and trusses guaranteed'. Recent exposure of disreputable fabricators using non load bearing timber in load bearing situations has further enhanced our commitment to provide the best quality product on the market.

At Garry Raven Frame and Truss we use a minimum of MSG8 timber in your frames and trusses , The right timber in the right place .

How do I get a quote?
Easy! Just email your plans to aj@grp.co.nz
I have a unique house design, can you manufacture frames and trusses to a one-off specification with a complicated design?
Yes, our detailers are experienced in working with unique designs, often in conjunction with the engineer and the architect as well as the builder.
Do you provide quotes?
Yes, quotes are provided free of charge. We pride ourselves on a quick turn-around of quotes to enable you to confirm your prices quickly with your client.
Do you do foundation set-out plans?
Yes, we do and at no charge as part of a confirmed job.
Do you do site measures?
Absolutely, we are happy to assist you in this area at a nominal cost. Garry Raven himself will often come out and do the measure himself.
Do you do additions?

Yes we do!
Do you manufacture commercial frames and trusses?
Yes, an example is the Bus Depot in central Hamilton . Give us a call to discuss your project.
Can you provide buildable layouts to submit to the council?
Yes we can! We are happy to help you in the area at a nominal cost.

Materials

What timber treatments do you use?
We use Chemical Free, H1.2, and H3.1
Do you supply beams as well as the frames and trusses?
Yes we do, including Flitch and Ganglam beams. Most of our clients are keen to ensure that the beams are supplied with the frames and trusses to avoid any hold-ups!
What kind of timber do you use?
We use Machine Stress Graded (MSG) kiln-dried Radiata Pine.

How much do your frames and trusses cost?
Prices vary widely depending on the plan/design of the building. We do offer competitive pricing - give AJ, our estimator, a call and see for yourself!
How long will it take until delivery?
This will depend on our schedule at the time so please give us a call and ask for Lorraine.
Do you supply outside the Waikato area?
Yes, anywhere from Auckland to the Coromandel, from Taranaki to the Central North Island . If you want quality, it's worth the trip!
I get good deals from my merchant, can I still work through him and have the product made by you?
Absolutely, all you need to do is specify to the merchant you would like us to supply the frames and trusses - as we say 'insist on it by name' - Garry Raven Frame & Truss.
How do I set up an account with you (merchant or builder)?
Simple - give Lorraine a call and she will supply you with the appropriate form.
Can I buy directly from you?
Yes, we work with both merchants and with builders.
Do you deliver / organise transport?

Yes, we can organise this as part of our job management, Lorraine is our dedicated operations controller who manages this area. Transport is itemized on our quotes.
