Led by Garry, the staff here at Garry Raven Frame & Truss are dedicated to helping our customers by producing high quality frames and trusses. All staff members are highly motivated and have a great deal of experience. We also believe in training staff to ensure they are up to date with the latest developments and technology.
 | Garry RavenGarry served his time as a Carpenter - Joiner over 30 years ago based in Taranaki. He also did a 10 year stint as a builder, then started as a frame and truss contractor for Carter Holt Harvey for 17 years. Garry chose to become an independent frame and truss plant operator as of January 2007. Garry likes to spend his spare time with his family and also enjoys driving around in his American Classic Cars.

 | Robbie BennettRobbie spent his first three years with us as our Estimator and is now capitalising on that experience in a move to the sales/customer service role. Robbie has established a great rapport with our clients already and is looking forward to being more available and developing associations with our current and new customers in the future. When he’s not at work he rides motorcycle trials, plays music, camps, tramps and potters about on his life style block. | |
 | AJ PrimeAJ started working for Garry Raven Frame & Truss in 2002 as a truss manufacturer. In 2005 he moved from the factory floor into the office to take on the role of detailer. In the following years he achieved the Mitek industry training certificates, Mitek 101-201-301 and Certificate of Competence, as well as the National Certificate in Frame & Truss Manufacturing through the BCITO. AJ also holds the unit standard 4098 for BCITO Candidate Assessment. In 2008 AJ moved to Perth where he worked as a Frame & Truss estimator for Tried & True Trusses. In 2009 AJ returned to Garry Raven Frame & Truss and took up his former position as detailer. 2010 sees AJ in new and challenging role as estimator for Garry Raven Frame & Truss. In his spare time AJ like to play the guitar, harass his cat and spend time with his partner Emily and like the Big Boss he’s extremely passionate about cars. | |
 | Glen RavenGlen has been involved with the Building industry since he could hold a hammer, Having worked on site as builder before working in the pre-cut factory cutting and making Frames and Trusses for over 9 years and has done a few stints at a number of Pre-cuts throughout the Waikato. He has since moved on to detailing in about 2002 and has since completed the Mitek 101-201-301 and certificate of competence and enjoys the challenge. In his spare time he enjoys downhill, cross country and free style Mountain biking or enjoying his love of cars.

Lorraine RidgwayLorraine has been with the company since Nov 2001 as sole charge Office Administrator, having worked in various admin roles over the years. Lorraine looks after debtors, creditors and wages along with many other things. In her spare time she has been a cub and scout leader and enjoys spending time with her husband and two teenage children along with reading and handcrafts.

Ian SmithIan started building after moving away from mechanics. He started off on building sites and then moved into the Frame & Truss industry. After working for various pre-cut plants he started working for Garry Raven Frame & Truss and has worked here since 1996. He worked on the factory floor for 5 years then in 2001 started learning detailing. He has since achieved the Mitek industry training certificates Mitek 101-201-301 and Certificate of Competence. Wanting a more hands on roll he moved back onto the factory floor to the position of Forman and now is able to share his experience with other staff. In his spare time he enjoys racing dirt bikes and spending time with his family

 | Phil LengPhillip has completed a BCITO apprenticeship and attained the Mitek 101-201-301 and Certificate of Competence. He has been involved in whanau projects on the building site, as well as pre-cutting and manufacturing around the Waikato/ Bay of plenty at various pre-cutting companies. He would use his school breaks to do “temp” work & learn some more of the trade when he was attending high-school. From April 2004 -2008 he was manufacturing on the factory floor full time. He has since moved on into Estimating/ Detailing and in his spare time he enjoys playing basketball and riding motorbikes.

 | Ian LockieIan has been involved in the Construction Industry since 2001 when he completed the New Zealand Certificate in Pre Trade Carpentry Ian then moved into the frame and truss industry in 2002 with Placemakers Hamilton where he achieved a Qualification in Frame Manufacturing with the BCITO. Ian moved from the Factory to the Estimation/Detailing office in 2008 and Completed his Mitek 101,201,301 and Certificate of Compitence Industry Training Exam. Ian has been employed By Garry Raven Frame and Truss Since June 2010. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family and also watching the All Blacks and Holden win.
